Restoring Hope for Orphaned Children in Zambia

CAMP HOPE

A five-day camp with eternal impact: empowering the church, restoring hope to children, and strengthening families.

Where Orphaned Children Discover Hope in Christ

In Zambia, more than 1.4 million children have lost their parents. That’s over 13 percent of the nation’s children. With no foster care system, more than 99 percent live with relatives such as grandparents, aunts, or uncles. While many guardians try their best, orphaned children are often treated differently than biological children, leaving them vulnerable to neglect and a diminished sense of worth.

Camp Hope is a five-day, Gospel-centered experience that restores dignity and reveals God’s love to orphaned children and their guardians. Each day is filled with crafts, songs, skits, recreation, hearty meals, and age-appropriate teaching that help children understand what it means to be valued and cherished. On the final day, guardians join and are encouraged to see each child as a gift entrusted to them by God. The Gospel is shared at every stage, first in one-on-one conversations with children, then with households together, and again through ongoing follow-up. Local churches continue the journey long after camp ends, walking with families, nurturing faith, and fostering transformation in homes and communities.

In 2026, Camp Hope will host four camps: two with participation from U.S. short-term missionaries and two led entirely by Zambian believers. This intentional shift empowers the Zambian church to rise in strength and confidence as it embraces God’s calling to care for orphans. By 2029, our vision is to see 10,000 orphans and their households encounter the Gospel and be embraced in discipleship through the local church.

Give Today

When you give to Camp Hope, you do more than send a child to camp. You help change the story of an entire household. Children encounter Christ’s love, guardians are reminded that each child is a gift entrusted to them by God, and local churches walk with families in discipleship long after camp is over. Your gift is also an investment in a generation.

Together, we can reach 10,000 orphans and their families with the Gospel by 2030, leaving a legacy of hope for years to come.
